Massage Envy Spa Mount Prospect Review – Massages, Facials and More

I have been a member of Massage Envy for as long as I can remember. The company has always been my favorite place for monthly massages due to friendly, professional service and affordability. Massage Envy has over 980 locations in 49 states with more than 1 million members. The company has provided over 50 million therapeutic massages nationwide. Originally based in Scottsdale, Arizona, it is the leading provider of therapeutic massage in the United States (as well-remove). Founded in 2002, Massage Envy was ranked 88th in Times Top 200 and 24th in the overall fastest growing franchise rankings.

Last week on Tuesday, June 17th, I was invited to attend the grand opening ceremony for the new Massage Envy that recently opened at the Randhurst Shopping Center in Mount Prospect, Illinois. The owner of the new location, Kathy Durant, warmly welcomed me inside and introduced me to the new staff. After meet and greets, there were refreshments on the side table, which included vegetable sushi, cookies, roasted cauliflower, meat dumplings, M&M’s, and fruit punch.

Next, the cutting of the ribbon ceremony was performed. The owners and all the staff gathered in the lobby to cut the ribbon to officially open their Massage Envy store. It was hard for the scissors to cut the ribbon at first, but they eventually succeeded!

After the ribbon cutting ceremony, all attending guests were invited for a mini chair massage and facial skin consultation with some of the spa’s employees. Adam, one of the new massage therapists, indulged me with a fantastic, quick massage. He knew how to get all my shoulder and back knots out. If anyone I know ever goes to this location, I would recommend Adam for deep tissue massage.

I then had my facial skin consultation with one of their estheticians, Grace. Like Adam, she (Grace) was  very professional and knowledgeable. (about her expertise-remove). She examined my skin under UV/Violet light and was able to give me tips on taking care of my skin, as well as recommending useful products.

Another employee handed me pamphlets and briefly went over Massage Envy’s wonderful, unique services. These included a customized massage membership plan (relaxation, deep tissue and foot [my two all-time favorites!], sports, cranial sacral, geriatric, hot stone, and prenatal massage), aromatherapy, deep muscle, and sugar foot scrub therapy options. In addition, they provide healthy skin facials such as environmental shelf vitamin C, clarifying enzyme acne, anti-aging, and sensitive.

Leaving the event, I thanked everyone for a fun, informal evening. I was happy to know that if I am ever in the Mount Prospect area, there is a wonderful Massage Envy Spa to visit for my next massage or facial!
