I find myself looking around the room for the color printer and then remember my new
XEROX Phaser 6130 all in one printer. Not only does it print both color and black and white, but it's a space saver. No more running around the room from printer to printer or forgetting to switch printers when I need color or black and white. This printer's dimensions measure 15.75 x 15.51 x 15.3 inches and it only weighs about 38 pounds. Being so compact, I am able to tuck it under my desk. It warms up quickly and quietly, saves energy, and there are less cords. The
Phaser
6130 only uses 280 watts while working, 50 watts in standby mode and a mere 5 watts while resting, so as a "green" person I feel good about using this printer. There is no need to "wake" it either because when you go to print it wakes on its own.
I own both a MAC and a PC and can use this printer with both of them. The
Phaser's use of Apple Bonjour™ and print drivers for both Macs and PCs allow me to easily print in a mixed environment. The printing time is speedy and the results are a crisp, clean, and clear image.
Xerox advertises vibrant images and true-to-life colors with 600 x 600 x 4 dpi. Due to the
Phaser
6130 Emulsion Aggregation (EA) High Grade toner more detail and clarity is available with every image. I agree with these statements as the quality and color are right on.

I had the opportunity to speak with the engineer that designed the product but I didn’t have any questions because the instructions were so simple and well written. I had the
Phaser up and printing in no time. The front panel is very user friendly and enables the user to quickly see an overview of the printer's features, settings and current toner levels. In fact, if a cartridge needs replacing you are in for a treat:
Xerox's Ultra-slim toner cartridges have made replacement easy and effortless. They are easy to load and take up less storage space. All I do is place the cartridges into racks located behind a side panel. I've had other printers that I felt a tech should have come out to change the toner, but with the
Phaser
6130, replacement problems are a thing of the past. At only $399 this printer is well worth the money.
