I've been doing a lot of traveling lately and the NeatReceipts has been so convenient. It is lightweight under a pound, and about the size of a compact umbrella. With the new Tax Organizer functionality, NeatReceipts users can designate scanned receipts as tax deductible expenses according to the most commonly used IRS categories, which are then stored in the NeatReceipts database for retrieval. At tax time, users can create and run reports that highlight every total deduction to be entered, categorized by IRS form number, schedule and line item for each amount updated for 2005 tax returns. Once a deduction report is created, NeatReceipts' PDF functionality allows users to create digital files that can be printed or emailed and sent to the IRS, which has accepted digital receipts since 1997.
