The "Grand" Boheme Restaurant - Downtown Orlando
A sophisticated and elegant place to dine inside the luxurious Westin Grand Bohemian Hotel in downtown Orlando. Prepare yourself for a beautiful, picture perfect dining experience at The Boheme Restaurant. Upon entering the hotel I was fascinated with the stunning eye candy housed in the lobby, the 'Bosendorfer Lounge' and the 'Klimt Rotunda' piano room. The hotel houses millions of dollars worth of purchasable art and sculptures. Gorgeous wall size paintings perfectly reflect the atmospheres of the inviting, cozy and posh lobby, lounge and piano room. From there I was lead to a stunningly 'bohemian' dining room adorned with rich, fine fabrics, plush seating and mellow lighting. By the time my guest and I were seated we had already developed interesting chit chat about the outstanding decor and art that filled the room.
The restaurant is truly enchanting and the menu also a step above the rest with select fine offerings such as; Cognac Lobster Bisque, Asparagus Crushed Diver Scallops as well as delicacies such as Kobe Beef or the goose liver topped apple fritter. My favorite was the tantalizing Crown Roast Rack of Lamb - absolutely delicious! The presentation, of the mouth watering gourmet foods, was of course "Grand" (like all things with this establishment). The Chef De Cuisine, Zachary Martin provided my guest and I with the restaurant's finest via a mini tasting event. He spoke about how much he enjoys his work at the restaurant - you can almost taste his satisfaction and delight within each dish. The service on all levels within the restaurant and the hotel are well above par and gave me a sense of hospitality, grander and charm that is hard to find these days. The tasting concluded with a variety of creme brulees but the desire to remain seated and enjoy the ambiance remained.
I was impressed when I entered the Boheme restaurant at lunch time - the entire dining hall was packed with a cheerful lunch crowd. The Westin's Boheme Restaurant is obviously a very popular place for locals as well as guests. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fine dining experience whether as a business luncheon or a romantic dinner the Boheme does not disappoint. It's sultry warm atmosphere is the perfect place to cool down from the Florida sunshine but be aware that this establishment does have a dress code, which is posted outside the 'Bosendorfer Lounge'. I was pleased that they had this rule as the surroundings are so elegant and sophisticated that one really would want to 'dress up' a bit to enjoy the full effect. Although very luxurious, somehow the interior designer was able to create an extremely inviting comfort zone to luxuriate in. In the 'Klimt Rotunda', which leads into the Boheme Restaurant, on Sundays they offer what I am sure is an absolutely stunning display for brunch which includes live Jazz music using one of the hotels two Grand Bosendorfer pianos.
In summary the Boheme Restaurant is a top choice for dining no matter what the occasion. Over the years this restaurant has been featured in numerous magazines nationwide and won the 2004 Dining Award for excellence. When traveling to Orlando, the Westin Grand Bohemian and it's beautiful eating and drinking establishments are a must see - it is my first choice!.
The Boheme, the signature restaurant of downtown Orlando's only luxury hotel, The Westin Grand Bohemian, is the perfect venue for that all important business lunch, romantic dinner or special occasion event. The best-known secret in town is the sumptuous breakfast offerings for the most powerful of 'Power Breakfasts.' It is truly the 'scene and be seen' restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. One of only seven AAA Four-Diamond restaurants in Orlando, The Boheme is the restaurant all of Orlando is talking about.
