How to Make Las Vegas Your World Cup Destination

The World Cup is about to kickoff and while you probably aren’t going to make it to Brazil, you can enjoy a little bit of nearly every participating country with a visit to Las Vegas. The Las Vegas strip can take you to Spain, England, France, Australia, Thailand and more.

If you are missing the sun and sand of Spain, nothing will make you feel more at home than DAYLIGHT Beach Club at Mandalay Bay. This stunning daylife experience that was inspired by Ibiza, Spain will keep you going all day long with world-renowned DJs such as Alesso and Sebastian Ingrosso at what has become the standard for the daytime party in Las Vegas. When you need a little break from all of the fun, sun, pool and music you can sip on one of the DAYLIGHT signature cocktails while relaxing on a luxe daybed.

Chef of the Century Joël Robuchon’s namesake restaurant at MGM Grand will makes French fans feel at home as they can enjoy delicacies such as Le Poulet Fermier while also feeling right at home in the lavishly decorated restaurant modeled after Chef Robuchon’s villa in France. The main room is draped with royal purple fabric and a dramatic crystal chandelier while the picturesque Parisian terrace features a vertical garden of ivy, allowing you to feel as if you are back in France about to cheer on your team.

The Spa Bellagio can take you to Thailand, allowing you to enjoy the Thai Yoga Massage which uses traditional techniques to help improve flexibility while transporting spa-goers into a deep state of relaxation. After the excitement of the World Cup there is no better place to relax than the spa’s meditation room, which offers a serene sanctuary that is surrounded by calming water walls and glowing candles.

If England is your team and you want to feel at home in Las Vegas you can enjoy a traditional tea time at Petrossian at Bellagio. Petrossian offers a daily Afternoon Tea Service including freshly baked scones, preserves, and of course, English tea sandwiches. If you are looking for something stronger than tea, try a cocktail from the bar’s recently revamped menu such as the Caviar Cube Martini, shaken not stirred.

What better way to celebrate Australia than by enjoying The Australian Bee Gees Show – A Tribute to the Bee Gees at Excalibur. The group’s unbelievable resemblance and sound to the legendary band keeps the audience’s toes tapping and bodies swaying all evening long. State-of-the-art sound, superb lighting and giant screens featuring video clips, live camera images and stunning graphics help bring five decades of Bee Gees music to life.
