Hearthstone Brunch Review - So Many Reasons to Brunch

Sunday brunch in Las Vegas, a day to mourn your previous night sins or a day to celebrate with friends and enjoy some football regardless of the occasion. When it comes to going out for brunch, the goodness that makes up the Hearthstone Kitchen & Cellar menu provides more than enough incentive to come in for brunch for any reason.

Chicken and waffles

It wouldn't be Hearthstone, located inside of the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa, without a few twists and turns on the menu and the most tasty twist comes in the form of the California Benedict. A poached egg, hollandaise sauce, avocado, rotisserie sliced chicken all put together between two roasted tomatoes. Healthy, fresh and delicious, the flavors come together perfectly and the grilled tomato substituting for bread is genius as you get a great combination of rich flavor while keeping it light. Chicken and waffles have become the hot item of breakfast these days and Hearthstone has a tasty version that if you like this combination you should try. The two most important things are the waffle, check, fluffy, light, slightly crisp. Chicken, check two, a light batter and chicken that is moist and tender. Bring it all together with the in house made bourbon syrup and you are in chicken and waffles heaven.

For the more traditional breakfast fare, Hearthstone offers a stack of pancakes that you should win a t-shirt if you could possibly finish them all. Then they take French toast to a decadent level with their salted caramel version. French toast. For those who want to venture into lunch and you love fresh seafood, it doesn’t get any fresher than the Hearthstone shellfish platter that comes with; lobster, tiger shrimp and oysters or choose from any of their unique pizza creations.

Flower Bomb

What better way to enjoy a Sunday than with a liquid lunch. Hearthstone offers a Bloody Mary tableside cart as well as bubbles for breakfast that includes a mumm 750 ml and a dozen fresh oysters. You can also enjoy the bottomless bloody beer, a combination of Pacifico and sangria or the bottomless mimosa, which has clearly become the favorite because it adorns almost every table in the restaurant on Sunday morning.

Bloody Mary

Hearthstone is a restaurant for everyone. A beautiful patio for outside dining, couches, booths, tables big enough for any group and a beautiful bar. Of course with football season quickly approaching, you will find televisions at every angle your head can turn. What better way to enjoy the NFL than sitting on a couch with friends with a bloody Mary cart at your beckon and call. There are plenty of great beers at Hearthstone as well. On tap you can find Dogfish 60 Minute IPA and Bad Beat Brewery Bluffing Isn't Weisse and in a can you can try the smooth coconut porter from Maui Brewing. If that was not enough, make sure you take a look at the craft cocktails, whatever flavor you like, Hearthstone has come up with some recipe to suit your likes that you likely would never thought of such as the Flower Bomb. One sip in you are not likely to realize Jameson is the focal point of this drink and while you know it is there, the champagne, elderflower liqueur, apple juice and lemon give this a classic cocktail feel while giving you a freshness you don't expect from a whiskey drink.

If you wanted to capture all that a brunch is meant to be, you would simply have to walk through the doors of Hearthstone. There is nothing ordinary about Hearthstone and isn't that what Las Vegas is all about, experiencing something unique and special. From the food, to the drinks and the beautiful restaurant itself, Hearthstone will leave you with a memorable experience.
