Beginning the evening with a proper drink is essential and at Andre’s there is a wide assortment of specialty cocktails. The Café au Lait Martini is a great choice to get your evening started with a kick especially if you love coffee. This drink offers shots of espresso, espresso liqueur, and vanilla vodka. If you are adventurous try the Marti Gras with its real foie gras ingredients, honey, Tahitian vanilla, and vodka.
After enjoying your cocktails, you will be escorted into the grandeur of the main dining room. In order to experience the authenticity of French cuisine, begin with the Escargots de Bourgogne. These imported French snails are traditionally cooked with garlic, butter, and herbs and are absolutely exquisite. Likewise, the Pan-Seared Duck Foie Gras is exceptional and is definitely a must have for the evening. This dish is served with caramelized apple, five spiced crème anglaise, and a port wine reduction. It has an excellent balance and is a perfect starter, paired with Santé Pinot Noir by Francis Ford Coppola. Tanya Buchanan, Andre’s sommelier, is available to pair your favorite wines with your meals including the New Year’s Eve menu.
Sea food lovers should not pass up the Seared Jumbo Scallop with Shrimp & Crab, served with asparagus and a potato cake with a caper emulsion. The combination of the fish is not overwhelming, but it is proportioned appropriately so that each flavor can be savored and each individual fish can be appreciated.
New Year’s Eve at Andre's will be quite a remarkable evening. Dining New Year’s Eve will begin with the selection of Chestnut and Kabocha Squash Soup with a Sauterne Reduction; Lobster Medallion with Celery Root and Green Apple or Chilled Foie Gras Terrine with Fig Compote and a Balsamic Vinegar Reduction.
After a sparkling Grapefruit Intermezzo, there will be the Chilean Sea Bass with King Crab with Asparagus Anglaise; Potato Galette and Mornay Gratinee, or Chicken Breast Roulade with Crab and Mushrooms; Sun-Dried Tomato Gnocchi, Spaghetti Squash topped with Truffle Sauce; Filet Rossini, Foie Gras, Roasted Potato, Braised Endive with Winter Truffle Sauce or Pistou Crusted Rack Of Colorado Lamb with Chick Pea and Apricot Torte, Ratatouille Niçoise and Lamb Jus.
To finish the meal and welcome 2012 - Upside Down Banana Cake with Coconut Ice Cream and Rum Caramel; Pineapple and Raspberry Tart with Vanilla Honey Custard or Chocolate Cheesecake with Toasted Hazelnut and Salted Nutella Anglaise.
