GRAND and BRAND are synonymous when speaking of the Brand Steakhouse in the Monte Carlo Casino Hotel. The soft elegant lighting adds elegance to this restaurant which lends a sense of calmness and allows you to take in the beauty of the décor the Brand has provided.
Brand has several signature drinks you can begin your Vegas night with, and server Rob Gentile will be most accommodating in helping you select the perfect drink to fit your pallet. One of the drinks to have if you want a sweet and sexy Vegas style night, include an IMPEARED Martini made with Grey Goose La Poire, Pear Nectar, Muddle Pear & Sage Leaf garnished with a thinly cut pear. If you’re passionate about mojitos try the BRANDS’ PASSION FRUIT mojito which is their version of the mojito made with Cruzan Light Rum, Muddled Lime, Spearmint, Passion Fruit and Watermelon. They also have quite an extensive wine selection from which to choose from including Merlots, Syrahs, Pinots, and Ports.
Starting your meal with a good appetizer is always nice, but at the BRAND you definitely don’t want to pass on the Maine lobster rolls. Here you will be treated to three mini New England Style lobster rolls. They are prepared in Parker House bread that is baked fresh daily. The Parker House roll is a yeast roll in which the chef hollows them out and stuffs them with the lobster to create quite a magnificent lobster appetizer unlike I’ve ever eaten. Three was not enough for me, but I had to save room for the entrée and dessert.
Another appetizer that will melt your tongue is the King Crab “Scampi”. It is prepared with a bacon scampi sauce, and then caramelized. The shell is prepared with a Ritz cracker and crab cooked on a grill baked with truffle oil and stuffed in the shell. The dish is completed with a caramelized asparagus salad on the side.
For your main course, at the BRAND have the Anton’s Tomahawk Rib Eye. It is a 20 ounce bone-in steak. If prepared medium rare it is made to perfection. This meat is so tender it was just as delicious the next day. To add to this perfection are two comfort foods; the creamy mashed potatoes and the macaroni and cheese. The mac and cheese in particular allows you to return to your childhood favorite with an adult flair. Made with creamy cheese and topped with bacon, this side dish is hard to share.
If you are not a meat eater, then "must haves" are the penne pasta which is made with prosciutto and truffle with parmesan sauce or the Chilean Sea Bass. It is baked with a creamy risotto, rock shrimp, and lobster broth.
Ladies, if it is a girl's night out, be prepared to share or take back extras to your room because after your wonderful appetizers, it will be hard to complete your meal, because the portions are just so big.
To finish your wonderful meal, the BRAND offers a double chocolate cake with chocolate chip ice cream. As well as an assortment of reasonably priced desserts, lattés, cappuccinos, and espressos.
Dress at the BRAND is sheik casual.
