Ring in the New Year right and catch A Jersey Voice at Theatre at the Center

From John Michael Coppola of Chicago’s long running hit, Jersey Boys, comes A Jersey Voice: Sinatra to Springsteen and Everyone In Between. Coppola takes the audience through some of America’s most beloved sounds starting in the 1940s and featuring the music of icons like Dean Martin, Billy Joel and, of course, a healthy dose of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Put a Latin spin on New Year’s Eve at El Tapeo

After the success and popularity of its first NYE event in 2014, modern Spanish restaurant El Tapeo invites guests to ring in 2016 with the 2nd Annual New Year’s Eve party on Thursday, December 31. Located on the 9th floor of Le Méridien Chicago – Oakbrook Center, 2100 Spring Road,  El Tapeo will offer two dinner seatings, each featuring a complimentary glass of sangria or sparkling champagne. Guests who book the second dinner seating will be granted complimentary access to a festive party from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m., featuring live entertainment, party favors, and a midnight toast. Rosemont NYE

 

MB Financial Park at Rosemont (5501 Park Place) will celebrate the New Year with a plethora of celebrations at each of its venues, complete with special dinner packages, live music and champagne toasts. At midnight, guests can kick off 2016 with a bang during a spectacular fireworks display above MB Financial Park.
 
New Year’s Eve celebrations will continue across the street from MB Financial Park at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. The Convention Center will ring in 2016 with Reaction NYE featuring headliners Deadmau5, Skrillix, Chvrches, Run The Jewels, Chance The Rapper and more. The music festival will serve as one of the sites for ABC 7’s New Year’s Eve LIVE broadcast, “Countdown Chicago 2015,” December 31 starting at 11:08 p.m. ABC 7’s Ryan Chiaverini and Val Warner will be on-site at the Convention Center, showcasing the festival along with Rosemont’s other entertainment attractions.
 
Families can celebrate the New Year earlier in the day by enjoying FROZEMONT’s winter attractions. Weather permitting, the Chicago Wolves Ice Rink at MB Financial Park will be open from 11 a.m. through 1 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31. Ice skating is free, with skate rentals available on-site for $8. FROZEMONT’s centerpiece, the two-story Polar Peak tubing hill, can take visitors on a tubing thrill ride from 12 p.m. through 8 p.m. Tubing tickets start at $3 per run, with discounts available for multiple runs. The fun will continue into New Year’s Day with special hours available for ice skating and tubing at FROZEMONT. Weather permitting, ice skating will be open from 11 a.m. through 11 p.m. and Polar Peak will be open from 12 p.m. through 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 1.
