'SXSW 2017' Winners Announced - Audience and Virtual Cinema Jury Award Winners

The SXSW Festival announced the Audience and Virtual Cinema Jury Award Winners on Saturday, March 18th.  Over the course of nine days, the 2017 SXSW Film Festival screened 130 features that consisted of 84 World Premieres, 14 North American Premieres, and 5 US Premieres, with 54 first-time filmmakers. 128 shorts screened as part of 12 curated shorts programs.

The popular audience cherished this year ‘The Light of the Moon’ directed by Jessica M. Thompson (Narrative Feature), ‘Dealt’ directed by Luke Korem (Documentary Feature), and ‘Baby Driver‘ directed by Edgar Wright (Headliners) among others.
