Disney’s “Tomorrowland” at the El Capitan Theater - Imagination Will Change the Future

Tomorrowland” is a must see film and where better to watch it than at the El Capitan Theatre! Hollywood’s legendary El Capitan Theatre presents a special engagement of Disney’s “Tomorrowland,” from May 22 – June 17, 2015.

Internationally acclaimed magician Greg Wilson will present an all-new magic show, “The Magic of Imagination,” before every screening of the movie, a fun show for all ages. “The Magic of Imagination” sets the scene beautifully for the film. Plus, all guests have the chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at how the filmmakers created the world of Tomorrowland. After the film head downstairs and see first hand some of the costumes, props and concept drawings. This showcase, keeps the movie alive even after the movie is over.

 From Disney comes two-time Oscar® winner Brad Bird’s “Tomorrowland,” a riveting mystery adventure starring Academy Award® winner George Clooney. Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank (Clooney), jaded by disillusionment, and Casey (Britt Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as “Tomorrowland.” What they must do there changes the world—and them—forever.

 Featuring a screenplay by “Lost” writer and co-creator Damon Lindelof and Brad Bird, from a story by Lindelof & Bird & Jeff Jensen, “Tomorrowland” promises to take audiences on a thrill ride of nonstop adventures through new dimensions that have only been dreamed of. The film also stars Hugh Laurie as brilliant scientist David Nix, Raffey Cassidy, Tim McGraw, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key and Thomas Robinson.

 “Tomorrowland” is produced by Damon Lindelof, Brad Bird and Jeffrey Chernov and directed by Brad Bird, with John Walker, Bernard Bellew, Jeff Jensen and Brigham Taylor serving as executive producers. “Tomorrowland” opened in U.S. theaters on May 22, 2015.

Daily showtimes are 9:45 a.m., 12:55 p.m., 4:10 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and a 10:50 p.m. screening on opening weekend and Friday and Saturdays. The El Capitan Theatre will also host a very special Tiny Tot Tuesday every Tuesday during the run of “Tomorrowland” at  9:45 a.m. During these special screenings, parents and small children may enjoy the movie in a tot-friendly way—with lights dimmed rather than out and reduced sound levels.
