Shannon’s opinion, Caroline commenting:

Shannon: The Informant! is a puzzling film. It gives you too much information where you do not need it and not enough where you do.

Caroline: I agree. Some scenes are too detailed and some leave you wondering what happened with not enough details.

Mark Whitacre on the phone

Shannon: It starts out great, but it does not follow though. It starts to get long and boring.

Caroline: This movie is like starting a trip with a map and then getting lost along the way.

The FBI agents waiting

Shannon: There were a few funny things in it, but not a whole lot!

Caroline: There were some humorous parts but far from a comedy.

The FBI agents and Mark Whitacre talking

Shannon: Matt Damon did an excellent job; he played his parts well and made it seem real.

Caroline: Yes, he did a great job of playing his part. It was amusing to know it was based on a true story.

The FBI agents Scott Bakula and Joel McHale

Shannon: The other actors did a wonderful job as well.

Caroline: Melanie Lynskey ( Two and a Half Men, Ever After, Coyote Ugly) played the dutiful wife superbly.

ADM office

Caroline’s opinion, Shannon commenting:

Caroline: I felt like I was always confused as to what was actually happening.

Shannon: I agree. Normally movies like this would give you clues or more background as to what is going on to help you understand and figure it out yourself. It just went along on its own twisted path, falling in many holes along the way.

Let me see your ID

Caroline: The music seemed to portray more of the 70’s than the 80’s, but it was a very good score.

Shannon: I agree. I thought the music was lovely though.

Mark Whitacre and his wife

Caroline: There are some scenes (like a broken tape recorder and the hidden camera) where it is hard to believe someone could be so stupid!

Shannon: I definitely agree on that one. Who would do that?!?

Mark Whitacre having a conversation

Caroline: This movie is the epitome of who-trumps-who?

Shannon: Agreed. I was not sure who did it until the end.

They all played thier parts so well

Caroline: I will wait until it is on DVD in order to figure it out.

Shannon: I may fall asleep watching it again. It never had any “wow” moments, just “what?” moments.
