He's Just Not That Into You Film Review - A Tangled Web of Heart-Making and Heartbreaking

He's Just Not That Into You is a New Line Cinema Presentation

Are you the exception…or are you the rule?
He’s Just Not That Into You is not your average chick flick. Based on the New York Times Bestseller, written by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo, the film goes through the lives of a group of interconnected twenty to thirty year olds trying to interpret the signs of the opposite sex, while all hoping to be the exception to the rule.

Gigi ( Ginnifer Goodwin) wants a man that would call when he says he will call. She becomes desperate when they don’t. She meets Alex ( Justin Long) who advises her on guys’ rules to dating. Beth ( Jennifer Aniston) just wants to get married with her long-time boyfriend Neil ( Ben Affleck), who doesn’t see anything wrong with not getting married. Janine ( Jennifer Connelly) begins to distrust her husband Ben ( Bradley Cooper), while he begins to distrust himself around Anna ( Scarlett Johansson), his new “friend”. Things turn ugly as Anna is desperately deciding to stay with her current boyfriend, Conor ( Kevin Connolly), or go for this new, sexy, married friend she meets at the supermarket, who just happens to be Janine’s husband. And Mary ( Drew Barrymore), who is supported by her many friends, is not having any luck finding a man of her dreams.
In this tangled web of heart-making and heartbreaking, these nine individuals discover that reading the signs and signals of the opposite sex is not as easy as they all seem to think. There are rules. Many people are “the rule”, and some are “the exceptions.” If a date doesn’t call you after the first date, he’s(or she is) just not that into you.

Quotes from the Movie:
“For ages women have come together over coffee, cocktails, or late-night phone chats to analyze the puzzling behavior of men.
He's afraid to get hurt again.
Maybe he doesn't want to ruin the friendship.
Maybe he's intimidated by me.
He just got out of a relationship.”
Or maybe… He’s just not that into you.
