Titelle Couture Fall/Winter 2013 Collection at Fashion Week LA

Cutting edge French bridal and corsetry abounds in the Trash Romance Collection at The Writer's Room Hollywood



Lavish and dashing haute couture creations were in the spotlight on Saturday March 16, 2013  at the conclusion of Fashion Week LA, as Los Angeles-based French design house Titelle Couture turned the ever-so-hard-to-find Hollywood alley speakeasy The Writer's Room into an avant-garde Parisian dressing room for the evening.  The Titelle Couture Fall/Winter 2013 Trash Romance Collection at Fashion Week LA was presented by Sacrée Soirée, along with sponsor AQUAHydrate.  The red carpet buzzed with the chic, the stylish, and the fashion forward.

 



Decadent and daring bridal and corsetry design was showcased in the Titelle Couture Fall/Winter 2013 Trash Romance Collection, beautifully accentuated by the makeup team of Kerri Evans and Alysha Marcantonio, hairstylists Destiny Khaos and Ashlee (Hairroin Salon), along with latex designs from Madem Black, custom headpieces by Miss G, and jewelers Etoile - Couture Jewelry.  Three buff and brawny male models in nothing more than metallic blue go-go boy shorts, black jewel-encrusted face masks, and the masterful body airbrush art of Eye Level Studio carried each model down the runway on a human-size glass platter as classical music and opera played.

 



Stand-out looks of the evening included:  a tank blue and fuchsia cocktail dress with ornate flower detailing; a faux croc black corset and brown latex mini skirt worn with a skull, flower and feather headpiece; and a black, nude and light pink knee-length cocktail dress paired with a lavender headpiece.  As the looks progressed, so did the overall artistry.  The two bridal finale looks were exquisite: a sumptuous white corset with lace ankle-length skirt paired with a hand fan and tree blossom headpiece, and an elegant burgundy corset and tulle full-length skirt paired with a daring metallic silver collar and oversized pearl necklace.

 

 

Titelle herself is a sweet, soft-spoken, and decidedly non-snooty French designer who set up shop in LA in 2011.  She graciously took the time to thank each and every one of her entire team at the end of the runway presentation - including her husband, who was on double-duty as one of her photographers for the evening. Fashion Week LA goers were definitely left wanting more at the end of the evening after witnessing the artistry, design, presentation and vision of the Titelle Couture Fall/Winter 2013 Trash Romance Collection. Oh là là!
