Functional and Comfortable, Stephen Burrows created a beautiful line for New York Fashion Week filled with vibrant colors and sophisticated designs. Editors and Fashion Icons, including Pat Cleveland, Alva Chinn, Debbie Dickinson and Rennie White gathered for the SS/ 2013 debut.
Spectators were served chilled champagne, tea sandwiches and decadent desserts on the rooftop of The Out NYC. Burrows is known for traditionally presenting collections during the last day of Fashion Week, and this year was no different.
Inspired by the curves of a woman’s body, Burrows created a line that is relaxed and contemporary, filled with bright jersey fabrics, sheer and asymmetrical lines.
The 70s era of sexy high-waist pants and a kaleidoscope of color were represented while models (including Pat Cleveland’s daughter, Anna Von Ravenstein) charismatically danced and interacted with photographers.
After 46 years of designing garments for some of the biggest names in the fashion industry, Burrows adds another client to his list…Barbie. The mahogony doll, Pazette, was dripping in rhinestones and white feathers and showcased in a mirrored box for guests to admire.
This year Stephanie Burrows provided women exactly what they desire, fabulous ready to wear clothing that is perfect for a career woman or a stylish fashion enthusiast.
