Venezuelan designer Rafael Cennamo unveiled his dreamy Spring 2013 collection, inspired by aspects of Japanese culture.
Luxurious fabrics in rose, peach, coral, aqua, mint green and moon mist gray immediately captivated those that entered the presentation box. Dramatic gowns featured intricate beaded embroidery and cherry blossom prints, which oozed glamorous sophistication.
Spectators stared at garments for minutes at a time, as if admiring artwork in the Musée du Louvre. Fashion enthusiasts were teleported to a whimsical world filled with opulent fabrics, intricate embroidery and indescribable colors.
Uniquely constructed and visually striking, each dress offered insight into the creative mind of Rafael Cennamo. Many of the gowns were emphasized by unexpected metallic belts that brought a powerful edge to ultra feminine designs.
Models stood tall like dolls with exaggerated makeup, wearing Kimono cut gowns and origami style folds, which offered a nod to Japanese elegance and luxury.
Cennamo described the woman who wears his brand as strong and confident. “She knows what she wants and has a strong personality,” he said. “She wants to look good and feel comfortable and embrace the woman’s body.”
Without a doubt, Cennamo created a breathtaking collection that is sure to appear on red carpets.
