Nautica presented its Men’s S/S 2013 collection during New York Fashion Week on the stunning rooftop of the Empire Hotel. The sun poured over guest indulging in signature chilled cocktails, while thirty handsome models stood on a viewing platform in vibrant and classic garments. Nautica is known for being a contemporary, yet classic American global lifestyle brand that specializes in garments ranging from men, women and children’s apparel. Nautica’s latest men’s collection held true to the brands trademark while inspiring an adventurous lifestyle.
Recognizable male models (Jason Morgan, Chris Whelan, Maxwell Zagorski, Jeremy Santucci, Chad White, Brian Shimansky, Parker Gregory) were split into various groups according to color and garments. Each group represented a diverse spectrum of styles, ranging from swimwear to sportswear. Models interacted with each other while the crowd visually dissected uniquely paired garments. Vibrant yellow, green, red and various shades of blue were used for shirts, poplin pants, jackets, shorts and blazers.
Nautica sportswear pieces took a polished approach to the season by laying jackets and shorts, with a tailored shirt and tie. Other pairings included, a bold and edgy black leather active bomber and yellow cotton poplin cargo pant that everyone buzzed about. While the contemporary gentlemen embraced a navy anchor printed shirt, color blocked tie and white cotton beacon pant, paired with canvas sneakers.
Overall burst of color were exposed through unlikely pairings that worked for a cohesive collection.
