Lisa Blue Swim Runway Show Review - The Beauties of a Woman

The show is about to start

The first official runway show of Mercedes-Benz Swim Week was about to take place as attendees, including myself, waited impatiently inside an exclusive white tent at The Raleigh Hotel in South Beach. I felt the luckiest, scoring a front row seat at my first swimwear show. As guests scurried to their seats, and local celebrities like Alexa Echevarria sat down, little did we know what we were in for.

The lights were dimmed, and the music turned on, spotlight was on Swiss supermodel, Kim Zimmerman, as she slowly walked down the runway. Not too far behind joined other models in blue and white bathingsuits with Grecian inspired gold accents and accessories. The attention was not only drawn by the models but by the elegant simplicity of these pieces.

The music then changed to a Latin beat, and our eyes were turned to Dancing with the Stars dancer, Karina Smirnoff as she danced down the runway to a Latin beat. She had us dancing in our seats and clapping along to the beat of her feet. Now, this is what I call a swimwear show in Miami!

The next part of the show was inspired by the "working woman". I was taken to a flashback when these beautiful models walked down the runway in 1950's inspired bathingsuits, red lips, voluminous hair, and gold glittery mary jane heels. We just didn't know what to expect next.

Chinese dragon dancers, maybe? Yes! In they came, running down the long runway in their native uniform. It was something unexpected, but I'm not complaining. Following these dancers, out came the models modeling Lisa Blue's sexy lingerie line with extravagant headpieces. These headpieces were jaw dropping, drop dead gorgeous. I wondered to myself how these women could walk so straight with them on! I was left with quite an impression.
