"Fashion Splash" opening night runway shows at Sunset Gower Studios Hollywood

The style-conscious and the fashionistas were out in full force on October 18, 2013, as they awaited the presentations of the Spring/Summer 2014 Swimwear Collections at the first night of L.A. Fashion Weekend.  Sunset Gower Studios was buzzing with excitement as the evening began with The Gallery LA's Mikey Koffman, flanked by two gorgeous models on each side, thanking main event sponsors Nobu Hotel and Caesars Palace Las Vegas on the red carpet.

Koffman then made her way, models in tow, to the 360 degree rotating pedestal mini-runway in the center of the main room, where each then took their spin as main mannequin.  Guests enjoyed an open bar by Monster Energy Drink, Moscato Allegro, and Tin Roof Cellars.  Beauty was provided by Planet Salon Beverly Hills.

L.A. Fashion Weekend media partners are California Apparel News, 97.1 AMP Radio, and Hollywood Weekly.  Additional sponsors are:  Fazio CleanersBibby Financial ServicesCypress LLPPalm Springs Fashion WeekendCalifornia State University Long Beach, and Sel de Mer Showroom.

"Fashion Splash" was the theme of the opening evening of L.A. Fashion Weekend, and the Spring/Summer 2014 Swimwear Collections runway presentations began with two buff and hunky "Life Guards" patrolling the runway in only tight red trunks and matching flotation devices.

The L.A. Fashion Weekend Spring/Summer 2014 Swimwear Collections at Sunset Gower Studios featured the latest lines from designers Mi OlaAmour Luxury SwimwearStone Fox SwimSalt, and Mandalynn.  Sporty racerbacks, simple maillots, bandeau sets and flirty two pieces came in metallics, florals and even fringe and lace.

Each line was a solid showing that highlighted attention to detail, keen crafting, and sharp color palette.  Beach bunnies, vacationers, or just those who enjoy an occasional sunning, will surely find more than a few available options from these lively lines, come resort season.  After the runway presentations, guests made their way to the official L.A. Fashion Weekend opening night after party at the W Hollywood.
