Brazilian designer, Alexandre Herchcovitch, remiered his Autumn Winter 2013 runway collection at Milk Studios in a gorgeous room complete with a split runway. The Autumn Winter 2013 collection was absolutely stunning and delicate mimicking botanical and floral structure and inspiration. The line looked as if it were inspired by the gardens of Versailles with the exaggerated volume at the waist and hips, floral patterns, and soft elegant colors transforming the inspiration of a garden into wardrobe – the modern day Marie Antoinette. The color pallet consisted of soft pastels, plumbs, emerald greens and red. I am absolutely fixated on the striped dresses that Herchcovitch created in this line. I think every girl will be vying for Herchcovitch’s tops from the AW13 collection for the fall. They are absolutely lovely pieces, an effortless chic to mix and match with prime pieces of existing wardrobe. The tops featured can be worn as staple pieces throughout seasons mixing the look up with either pants or high waisted skirts to bring the runway to real-way for a complete in the office, out on the street look.
‘The prints consist of exotic flowers in romantic colors with a slightly abstract, eerie twist. The beaded pieces bring to mind the morning dew dripping from fresh petals. The Autumn Winter 2013 Collection brings shapes and structures of flowers, transforming women in the blooms of an exotic, delicate garden.’ –Alexandre Herchcovitch explains of the newest collection.
The line is soft and chic and moves and conforms beautifully to the body. ‘The garments are to be worn as they are deconstructed – similar to the petals of flowers.’ The line is elegant, chic and soft – so feminine and yet all of the pieces can be worn with edge. Styled as an effortless ultra femme on the runway this line is très chic.
