Seven For All Mankind Fall 2009 Collection - Shades of Black and Grey Brighten our Wardrobe

Store on Robertson Blvd. in Los Angeles

With another Los Angeles fashion week upon us, 7 For All Mankind gives us a sneak preview of their Fall 2009 collection. Seven jeans may be the pioneers of the low rise jean. The company started in California Fall of 2000 and has continued as the top dog in the jean designing department. The brand, famously dubbed “Sevens” by fashion editors and stylists, grew to fame and became an instant favorite among Hollywood’s elite. Quickly women began to turn their heads to get a look at the signature Seven Jean logo on the back pockets of jean wearers across America.

Traditional Logo

Forever changing the dress code to the way we wear jeans. It soon became en vogue to wear your “sevens” with heels to a nice dinner on the town.
The 7 For All Mankind logo consists of a large, brushstroke-style numeral 7 with the words "for all mankind" written across it in a smaller, stylized script. This logo has traditionally been found on the inside back waistband of 7 For All Mankind's denim products as well as sewn on to the back pocket.
Now in their 9th  Fall season 7FAM is giving us a preview of their men and women’s Fall 09 Collection at their flagship store on Robertson Blvd in Los Angeles. They are now branching out and making clothing, shoes, and handbags. The shoes are fabulous!

For women, this fall we will see shades of black and grey establishing a dark and edgy rock star vibe.

Shades of Black and Grey Fall 2009

Feminine shapes are juxtaposed by the masculine color palate. Also, we will see an evolution of novelty like pin tucking, cording and zippers. The skinny jean is still alive and going nowhere soon. This season look for it with zippers at the bottoms and in onyx denim or light grey.

Second skin denim will be popular this fall. Legging like denim and draped body hugging fabrics are the main focus. Skintight fits such as the “Gwenevere” and the “Roxanne” hug the body a little closer in a 4-way stretch and double knit. Deep amethysts, dark blue hues and inky blacks elevate each piece to chic status.
Boot cut styles are still popular as well. The new “Rocker” jean is my favorite. It’s a low rise jean with a slight flare leg opening. It fits slim through the thigh and breaks lower past the knee to elongate the leg. This style is perfect for petite frames. It features 7 For All Man Kind’s signature squiggle back pocket. It comes in light and dark denim and fits like a glove.
The men’s fall collection will also see shades of black and grey.

Mens Utility Collection Fall 2009

Light grey and steel grey neutrals pair with bold blacks and vintage charcoals. Innovative plays on cotton create a rock n roll vibe that is simple and seductive. Elements such as useful compartments, working key loops, and convenient pockets bring function and practicality to the season’s denim and sportswear. Charcoal, brown, and olive tones mix with pops of purple for a rustic vibe. The men’s fall collection can best be described as a reconnection with the outdoors with a sophisticated edge.
