The stunning collection was inspired by MGM costumer Adrian who dressed silver screen movie stars like Katharine Hepburn, Norma Shearer, and Joan Crawford and features looks "that could take any screen star from Rehearsals, to Filming, to Publicity shoots." The talented designer has dressed everyone from Charlize Theron to Salma Hayek.
The truly talented Kevan Hall, for this particular collection, seemed to focus on the 1940-50's glamour and fancy silhouettes. The show opened with a black-and-white sleeveless "Garbo" double-breasted belted dress that caught the audiences attention instantly.
The collection included short dresses; casual look pencil pants paired with black-and-white silk blouse and a wide patent leather belt giving the ensemble a modern edge; and remarkable flowing evening gowns.
Women in the audience could not look away as each piece glowed down the runway; it was absolutely breath taking. These pieces—the short length and long evening gowns are sure to make the red carpet during award season. There’s no doubt about it.
In the past Kevan Hall has given some iconic red carpet looks to the likes of Vanessa Williams Sharon Stone, Celine Dion, and Angela Bassett among others.
Kevan Hall received a standing ovation at the end of the show. He very well deserved it leaving audience in awe as Hall gave them something to remember for the Mercedes-Benz Los Angeles Fashion Week Spring Collection 2009. I still cannot stop raving about his overall show, it is remembrable for a lifetime.
