GBK Productions Hosts a Thank You Lounge to benefit The Creative Colation with Gifts that Give Back

GBK Productions kicked off a celebrity-filled weekend in Washington, DC on April 26-27 with its gift-filled Thank You Lounge to benefit the Creative Coalition. Held at the Loews Madison Hotel, the event drew such celebrity guests as Tracy Morgan, Chris Tucker, Patricia Arquette, Beth Behrs of Two Broke Girls, Creative Coalition President Tim Daly and others. While 100% of the event’s proceeds were donated directly to the Creative Coalition’s efforts in supporting the arts, attendees had the opportunity to donate any of the gifts they received to the charity of their choice. All in all, it was certainly an event that proved in its mission to gift and give back.

Made by Survivors is an organization that educates, employs and most importantly, empowers survivors of slavery and other abuses in underprivileged areas of the world. The strength of the women and children who handcrafted the necklaces gifted at the suite are as powerful as the words on some pendants that read Hope and Free. Since 2005, the nonprofit charity has trained and employed 350 artisans, sent more than 250 children  to school through their education fund and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for programs to shelter and aid survivors of slavery.
