It gathers top celebrities from sports and entertainment to commemorate the past year in sports by recognizing major sports achievements, reliving unforgettable moments and saluting the leading performers and performances. But, another part of the awards that is stealing limelight is the gift bag.

Yet, the ESPY has outdone them all by, making it one of the most expensive gift bags available for celebrities. Matthew Perry, the host for the ESPY awards, will be receiving $25,000 worth of luxurious products for being- himself. How nice to be rich and famous and have people give you more things because your so rich and famous. The idea of the gift bag is to entice big name celebrities to attend certain events like charities, fundraisers, and award shows.

The sports stars and celebrities that attended the ESPY awards include Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong, Annika Sorenstam, Mia Hamm, Maria Sharapova, Sofia Mulanovich and many more. Destiny's Child made on of their last televised acts together as a group, Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams shocked fans with the recent announcement that they are "retiring as Destiny's Child and moving forward to pursue personal goals and individual careers in music, theater, television and film." Destiny's Child, one of the top-selling musical acts during the last 10 years, has sold more than 40 million records worldwide.

The ESPY awards outdid themselves this year with having the most expensive gift bag worth $25,000, attracting sports stars, and having the biggest singing group, Destiny's Child perform one of their last televised acts before heading in separate directions. Who ever is in charge of the ESPY awards should get a bonus because they have taken a small award ceremony and blown up to the respectability of the Oscars. Next year, I'm tuning into the ESPY awards. So, I can see what's in the gift bag!
