Hitting the scene in Louisville, Kentucky is a festival unlike any other- Forecastle Music Festival! Forecastle is a live music festival with all of our favorite components such as music and art, but it also encompasses a ‘theme’. To sum it up Forecastle is a hypnotically themed music and art festival with a huge bourbon presence.

Forecastle Music Festival is a festival that shares the same passion and focus throughout music, art, and activism. A talented group of artists from Brooklyn and Los Angeles are the masterminds to creating the intense elements which are both nautically and Kentucky inspired, to make the ‘farm to sea’ type of theme for this years’ festival.

Forecastle Music Festival is the place on the ship where the crew comes to relax and unwind” says JK McKnight, founder and captain (creator) of the festival. “That’s what I wanted to incorporate with this festival, a place where people can go relax and have a good time!”  Taking place in one of the most beautiful and thriving cities in the country, Louisville, Kentucky, this year the festival will take place across the scenic 85-acre Waterfront Park.

Now in its 11th year, Forecastle Music Festival is bringing something new and fresh to the forefront, as it has quickly become one of the country’s most anticipated summer festivals which now draws tens of thousands of fans worldwide. The festival has been known to take place at some breathtaking parks throughout the city of Louisville.

Throughout the lodge attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Kentucky bourbon from a few local distillers. Adding more excitement will be the ‘Alabama Shakes’ who will be playing ‘celebrity mixologists’ on Saturday. “Everyone is really excited about the bourbon lodge, said JK. “it’s sort of like the fourth headliner of the festival.”
