Montblanc Debuts Masters for Meisterstück L'Aubrac Collection

Guests including Eva Green (Casino Royale), Rosario Dawson (Rent, Fire With Fire), sublime fashionista Olivia Palermo with Johannes Huebl, fashion designer Jitrois and his muse Sarah Marshall and writer Jean Christophe Grangé will not only discover new creations from la Maison Montblanc, but also will enjoy a special menu from Chef Jean Pierre Biffi where the craftsmenship will be honored as much as the extraordinary meat from L'Aubrac region.

Since 1924, the exceptional Meisterstück Fountain Pen has symbolized Montblanc's dedication to excellence and in that spirit Montblanc celebrates other artisans who are masters in their domain. In 2010, Montblanc initiated Montblanc Masters for Meisterstück and collaborated with Meissen porcelain uniting two traditions of craftsmanship to create one exceptional collection. Today, Montblanc presents its latest tribute to the exceptionally crafted Forge de Laguiole knives. Hand-crafted by a single artisan from start to finish in up to 180 operations in L'Aubrac region of southern France, a Laguiole is more than a knife, just as Montblanc Meisterstück is more than just a fountain pen.

Drawing on each other's expertise, the craftsmen of Montblanc and Forge de Laguiole worked together and fused their respective heritages together to produce three limited edition collections including Atelier Privé (limited to eight pieces), Artisan Edition (limited to 50 pieces) and Special Edition (unlimited) representing truly sublime artistry, precision and unmistakable values. Paying tribute and interpreting the traditional techniques employed by their respective craftsman, the writing instruments feature design details including intricately carved ebony, Brazilian and grenadilla wood, ornate 18-carat gold nib and fittings, caps crowned by a Montblanc Diamond and enhanced by tiny sterling silver rivets inspired by the handles of Forge de Laguiole knives.

These elegant writing instruments are destined to be treasured by connoisseurs of true craftsmanship – people who share the timeless values of tradition and dedication represented by Montblanc and Forge de Laguiole.
