Bridgefest 2011 Features Music of 2010 Vocalists of the Year

USA - Ocean Grove, New Jersey - Bridgefest, one of the Jersey Shore’s premier music festivals, takes place this weekend in Ocean Grove.  Featuring performances by 2010 Female Vocalist of the Year Francesca Battistelli and 2010 Male Vocalist of the Year Brandon Heath, the gathering promises to thrill.

More than a Christian music concert and beach festival, Bridgefest also includes speakers and teachers from around the country, including those from Bridge FM Radio Station 89.7FM.
The two days are packed so full of activities that attendees are encouraged to stay overnight in order to be able to enjoy all.

The main concert event takes place Friday night at 7:15 pm (sharp).  Doors open at 6:30 pm for general admission seating.  This evening of amazing music will also include:

• A powerful testimony of a transformed life by Bridge FM teacher Brian Broderson
• Worship music by Canadian artist Downhere
• Opening concert with 2010 Female Vocalist of the Year: Francesca Battistelli and 2010 Male Vocalist of the Year Brandon Heath 
• An awesome gospel message by Bridge FM teacher Jack Hibbs

Downhere will be preceded by a powerful testimony from Brian Broderson, a pastor at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, the Southern California church that started the Calvary Chapel movement, which has led to the growth of more than 1,500 non-denominational churches around the world. This is Broderson's first appearance at Bridgefest.

Battistelli's new “Hundred More Years” follows the award-winning success of “My Paper Heart,” which featured the smash hit “Free to Be Me.” (http://www.francescamusic.com/frontpageHeath's just-released his third album, “Leaving Eden,” which offers “Give Me Your Eyes,” “No Not One,” “Don't Get Comfortable,” “I'm Not Who I Was” and the roof-rousing praise “Our God Reigns.”

Friday’s day time lineup features teachings in the Bishop Janes Tabernacle:
• 9:00 AM - Pastor Rodney Finch: "Separated, Saturated, Situated"
• 10:30 AM - Pastor Jack Abeelen: "Who's in the Kitchen with Martha?"
• 12:00 PM - Pastor Brian Brodersen: "The Gospel"
• 1:30 PM - Pastor Chris McCarrick: "Faith: Dare to Share"
• 3:00 PM - Pastor Lloyd Pulley: "Everyday Eternal"
• 4:30 PM - Pastor Bobby Hargraves:"Dare to be a Daniel"

Friday’s lineup also offers a Prayer Walk at 1:00 pm, a Rally at 2:00 that will include sharing of testimony, worship, and a teaching by John Randall, evangelism training at 4:00 pm.
Both days will provide an opportunity to meet BridgeFM teachers under the "Meet the Teachers Tent" and visitors can shop vendor booths featuring CD’s by the Bridgefest performers, apparel, crafts, and jewelry, and BridgeFM merchandise and more.

Saturday continues with a full day—and an early start that features surf lessons with members of the fellowship of Jersey Shore Christian Surfers.  Activities for all ages will include giant inflatables, face painting, beach volleyball and more.

The Saturday afternoon closing celebration concert will feature 2010 Male Vocalist of the Year Brandon Heath, and more food, fun and fellowship in the park before and after the concert.  Four food vendors will be on premise to provide beverages, snacks and meals.
Free off-site parking is available at Living Word Christian Fellowship, 81 State Route 35, Neptune, New Jersey, 07753-4745.  Shuttle busses are easily available, and will run every 15 minutes from 10 am until 8pm. 

Tickets to Bridgefest are $35 which includes two-day beach access, admission to all activities, and discounts from local merchants. Day of concert, tickets are $35 for the Friday night concert only. Saturday beach badge only is $7. All options are free to children ages 11 and younger.

This year’s Bridgefest boasts even more of the great stuff that has made it such a successful event in prior years.   a truly delightful two days of Christian music concerts and fun for the entire family.  Relax on the beautiful Ocean Grove beach, take in the great teachings & testimony throughout the days, and enjoy church service on the beach and ocean baptisms.

Trains run to and from Asbury Park, which is 1/4 mile from the Ocean Grove Beach! Trains run regularly from NYC Penn Station in the north to Bay Head in the south. Why not take the train on Friday night or Saturday? Go to www.NJTransit.com for more info!

Walking Directions from Asbury Park Train Station (total distance is less than 1/2 mile)
Exit the train and proceed across the street (Route 71). You can walk up Cookman Ave or Lake Ave toward the beach. Proceed approx 4 blocks and turn right at Heck Street. Take the foot bridge into Ocean Grove. Proceed straight for the Great Auditorium or go left for the beach.
