Ramona Singer Hosts Covet Lounge Launch Party

Ramona Singer, television reality star of The Real Housewives of New York and Katherine Rothman of KMR Communications recently hosted the launch party of Covet Lounge, an ultra-posh hotspot, located on Manhattan’s exclusive Upper East Side.

Covet Lounge, situated steps away from the Upper East Side’s stylish shopping Mecca, is a sanctuary for those looking for an upscale dining and private lounging experience minutes from Park Avenue’s Investment Banker row.

Covet Lounge’s sweeping entrance  at 137 East 55th Street,  just past Lexington Avenue, opens to the grand traditional dining area with a capacity of seventy. The lower level, of this two story getaway, offers secluded settees and plush intimate exterior lounging enclaves.

The décor is a combination of St. Moritz’s Swiss chalet, deep rich earth tones, and St. Tropez French Rivera luxuriousness, the right mix for the sophisticated uptown crowd and the ultra hip urban downtown scene. The dining area features large Zeppelin Chandeliers and oil paintings by renowned artist Robert Lambert.

Covet Lounge is the brain child of uber club virtuosos and creative geniuses, Eric Milon and Andre Hnatyszak. The duo are credited with the resurgence of the Miami’s steamy midnight club scene. These two have redefined Manhattan’s club experience. Mr. Milon’s previous venues include South Beach’s The Strand, Prive, The Living Room all of which have attracted Hollywood’s A-list crowd. 

The head chef, John Keller formerly of the ultra-chic Bruno Jamais Supper Club and Nobu has brought his award winning artistry to Covet Lounge. His fusion of Mediterranean and Asian cuisine signature dishes include, Marinated Baby Octopus, Lobster Brulee, (think crème brulee with large succulent chucks of Lobster), and Wild Boar Tenderloin.

Covet Lounge offers specialty drinks created by famed mixologist Orson Salicetti including Shaman, a mix of Hungarian Paprika, Pineapple Mezcal, Himalayan Salt Rim with spices. Her Martini, made with Premium Vodka, extract of ginger, Aphrodisiac Tea, covet sour and Hibiscus Bitters also, His Martini, made with Single malt Scotch, Black Cardamom Essence, Red Lillet, fresh Mint and Aphrodisiac Bitters. And of course, the tempting Cupid with grain of Paradise Infused Vodka, Aperol cooked strawberries, and rosemary essence and the Covet Lounge famous Icarus House Premium Flambe, Premium Saffron, Louis XIII and hand chiseled ice.

The evenings hors’d’oeuvres were a combination of summer time cool gazpacho, plum tomatoes with mozzarella and pesto oil kabobs, and traditional fried crab cakes, spring rolls other asian/mediterranean lite fare. An open bar flowed freely all night with Covet Lounge specialty drinks and whites, reds and summer rose wines.

Covet Lounge is introducing After Work Thursday beginning August 12, 2010. The After Work Thursday event will catch on quickly and with Covet Lounge’s central midtown location is the perfect  space to meet celebrities, models, the financial set, and the fashionista. Covet Lounge has a capacity of 300 guests and is available for intimate gatherings, parties and your special affair.
