Robert Galinsky

Robert Galinsky is always on the go, making him one of the busiest men in the entertainment industry. I plotted a trap that got him off his track leaving him no choice but to stop and talk.

David
Hey there reality teacher what's keeping you authentic these days?

Robert
There are two things keeping me authentic these days. One is bringing reality TV learning and leadership concepts to companies and organizations in the corporate world. The New York Reality TV School Corporate Training division is what is making my life exciting and fulfilling. I've also been into some serious writing and rewriting of theatrical pieces for the stage with my compadres via twitter and live readings. The live readings are fun because it's much like an event that mixes partying with intellectual stimulation.

David
You wear many hats in the entertainment industry, writer actor, teacher, director, producer which hat fits you the best?

Robert
The hat that fits me best is Ring Master! As Ring Master I can do what I've always been doing- mixing the production/direction/writing into live events where people see themselves and others in new ways and where the world can change. Reality TV is just one aspect of what I do and it came up organically through my career as an artist in the theater and event world.

David
Manhattan Monolog Slam what happens there sounds painful/ and should I put on my actor hat and slam by?

Robert

The Manhattan Monologue Slam is actually an awesome space to take a risk, flex your acting muscles, your creative muscles where the crowd is hungry for greatness and forgiving of your shortcomings (if the shortcomings appear). You can rub elbows with celebrities at the show and industry professionals who can advance your career. Many people have booked roles in films and play as well as have booked agents and managers. Some of the past VIP's include Brian DePalma, Andy Dick, Roger Guenveur Smith, Debra Wilson, Jenna Fischer and the list goes on. Also it's a place where people can watch the amazing talents of Philip Galinsky. He's a great host and he always performs a monologue in the show that just blows peoples minds. He is the example of the risk you should take and the challenges people should put themselves up to. Plus he hosts a set of theater where anyone can get up and breakthrough!

David
You are constantly approached by people pitching their ideas for a reality show/ at the same time you have people aqua real talent method actor’s singers protesting reality TV is taken away from the essence of film and TV most importantly taken away the venues for them to work on their craft and get paid. What's is your pitch to them to support reality TV?

Robert

I have no interest in pitching or persuading anyone to fall into rank with Reality TV lovers. My role is not to promote or further reality TV. My job is to make any student who comes to me more aware of who they are, what their greatness is, what they have to offer the world, how can they change life around them... That's my concern. If my students gain in these areas they will be more watch able and we'll have a better time watching. They can be an actor attempting a role, they can be a reality hopeful seeking a part on a reality show, they might be a CEO looking to communicate better with staff or customers. I'm only concerned with enriching people's lives, not worried about actors upset over reality TV taking their jobs. My suggestion is that any actor upset about reality TV is projecting their dissatisfaction with where they are as an actor.

David
In life we all have an aim where is your bow and arrow pointing?

Robert
It points to a cool venue in the Lower East Side that has yet to open but will be the home for great plays and performances. It's the theatre I'm building where actors who have talent, drive and something to say can make a home in and 'do battle with reality!'

David
What effect have I had on you/ would you have cameras follow me?

Robert
I would have cameras follow you trying to get a number of stories at the same time. See you as you work your butt off tracking news, finding new subjects, getting the questions answered and then partying like a wild man decompressing at the coolest clubs, bars, etc.

Well than Robert when ever you are ready to yell out ACTION!

This Man will be all Party!!!
