Michael Antonio Footwear Group, a leading California based footwear company, has partnered with Souls4Soles, a 501c3 charitable organization, in order to provide relief to the more than 100,000 people displaced due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy.
In alignment with the company’s corporate ethos of social responsibility, Michael Antonio Footwear Group will donate 5% of net sales on their e-commerce website from December 1st, 2012 to January 31st, 2013 to Souls4Soles. The charity, in turn, will translate each dollar raised into a pair of shoes, which will be shipped out and donated to those who lost their homes and possessions as a result of Super Storm Sandy.
“Personally, I am absolutely delighted to be involved because seeing what had happened was gut-wrenching, and it really emotionally struck me to see so many innocent people affected. As one of Michael Antonio’s missions is to “seek out opportunities to give back to the community, whenever appropriate,” so when we saw the devastation, we naturally started to look for organizations to partner up with to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy. And, because of Soles4Souls’ track record, and the fact that we had already previously worked with the organization, we were able to put together a program quickly! I hope more individuals and organizations do it because every little bit of support counts!”- Michael Su- CEO of Michael Antonio Footwear Group
“We deeply appreciate this commitment by Michael Antonio Footwear Group and its customers,” said Keith Woodley, Chief Development Officer of Soles4Souls. “From our experiences over the past seven years, we are certain that the campaign will result in inspiring personal stories from individuals who have witnessed transformation among their families and communities.”
