Eric Jordan Young is bringing his considerable talents to the Cabaret Jazz Room at the Smith Center in Las Vegas on Friday evening June 27 at 7 p.m. The entertainer has wowed audiences as the lead in VEGAS! The Show.
Entitled “Once in a Lifetime,” the show will give the audience a chance to enjoy all of Eric’s talents as a singer, dancer, and actor. This multifaceted performer has twice won the Broadway World Award for Best Performance By a Lead Actor in a Musical for his work in Vegas! The Show where he originated the role of Ernie. Mike Gonzales serves as musical director/supervisor for the performance.
Eric appeared on Broadway in the original casts of Ragtime and Seussical. He was also in the 2009 revival of Ragtime and in Chicago and The Look of Love, the revue showcasing the music of the Burt Bacharach/Hal David show. Before he relocated to Las Vegas in 2010, Eric appeared in the Las Vegas companies of Starlight Express, Chicago and Dreamgirls. He won accolades for the lead role of "Ernie" which he played for four years in Vegas! The Show.
His original show, Sammy & Me has played in regional theaters across the country to great acclaim. You may have seen Eric Jordan Young on television in Ugly Betty or Law and Order: Criminal Intent. He’s been in productions of the New York Shakespeare Festival, the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall and many other prestigious regional theaters.
In 2010 he produced his first solo CD, “Once In a Lifetime,” a collection celebrating the music of Sammy Davis, Jr.
