The 34th Annual San Gennaro Feast will delight visitors from Sept. 10-15, 2013, at the Grand Canyon Shopping Center (4246 Grand Canyon Drive and West Flamingo Rd. The Las Vegas family fun festival celebrating the spirit of San Gennaro features more than 70 restaurant food booths, 80 amusements rides including the new 100-foot Vertigo, midway games, and arts and crafts booths.
Complimentary headliner entertainment is coordinated and hosted by Tony Sacca, who has been part of the event for more than 26 years. This is the best Italian Heritage Celebration this side of Naples! Midway games include a Petting Zoo and Pony Rides. There are arts and crafts booths, a Beer Garden, and lots of free entrainment.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and military at the door. Children 54 inches and under are free. Parking is free. POP – Pay One Price to ride all rides endlessly $25 Tuesday- Thursday and $30 on Friday and Saturday.
Food is a vast variety of traditional Italian fare including pasta, pasta and more pasta, fried calamari, calzones calzones, baked clams, pizza, lobster ravioli, Italian fried dough, Italian sausage, peppers and onions, etc., as well as international foods.
Complimentary entertainment starts at 4 p.m. each day. From 4 – 7 p.m., there will be traditional Italian folk music featuring Tony De Bruno, Italian music by Enzo Selvaggi, Italian show and Neapolitan songs by Ciro Giorgio, plus strolling music by Emilio Baglioni and Joe Vento. Carmen Jon will perform from 7 – 7:30 p.m. and Philly Cuzz from 7:30-8 p.m.
From 8 p.m. till closing, it’s Tony Sacca and the Saccettes plus top line performers backed by the Michael T Orchestra. Sacca will host an all-new stellar lineup of entertainers including the feast’s Grand Lady Janien Valentine and Grand Marshals Frankie and Joey Scinta.
Headliners will include: Lena Prima, Rich Michel, Kelly Clinton, Rich Natole, Michael Barimo, Robin Vincent as Madonna, Amanda Kaiser as Bette Midler, Carmen Jon, The Phat Pack, Patty Ascher, George , Robin Vincent as Madonna, Rob Garrett as Neil Diamond, Bella Strings, Sam Riddle, Shades of Sinatra, The Rat Pack is Back, Forsythe’s Tribute to the Temptations and other surprises.
On the second night, Wednesday, Sept. 11, there will be a Traditional Italian Procession with the Knights of Columbus Military Color Guard, Mayor Carolyn Goodman, local dignitaries, and Father Dave Cassaleggio blessing The Feast at 7 p.m. on the entertainment stage with Grand Marshals Frankie and Joey Scinta and Grand Lady Janien Valentine. There will be a gigantic fireworks display at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15.
