Wes Winters Celebrates Five Years - at The South Point Hotel Casino and Spa Grandview Lounge with Friday April 8 Meet & Greet, Cake & Champagne

It is not surprising that Wes Winters is celebrating five years in the Grandview Lounge at the South Point Hotel Casino and Spa in Las Vegas. Keeping with tradition, Wes will celebrate on Friday, April 8th with a 5 PM Meet & Greet, complimentary cake, and champagne for all. Then Wes will entertain his friends with his usual performance from 6-9 PM, his 500th performance in the spacious Grandview Lounge. Yes - friends. Once you meet this personable entertainer, you will most likely be hooked and return time and again to enjoy his performances.

Wes Winters' show is a delightful entertaining departure from the usual big Vegas shows. Drop by the Grandview Lounge at South Point Hotel Casino and Spa on most any Friday or Saturday evening between 6 and 9 PM to see one of the most cheerful people I know doing what he loves to do – entertain.

This self taught piano player plays with the best of 'em and belts out tune after tune that every senior citizen in the room remembers singing or listening to at some time. Yes, the guy has groupies on social security. They love him. They bring him gifts. They drop money into the tip jar and they buy his CDs. After his show, they line up to give him kisses or a hugs or just tell Wes how much they appreciate his shows.

Guess what – there is no charge for the show. This is an open lounge area. There is a bar with the requisite gaming machines and a waitress will come around to see to it that no one is thirsty, but there's no hassle, there's no pushing to make you drink, although of course many choose to do so.

This Vegas Lounge-style “One-Man-Show” is built around Winters' acclaimed vocals, one-of-a-kind showmanship, award winning piano pieces, and a huge musical repertoire. Winters moves through his performance seamlessly working in audience requests easily and frequently. His fans have their favorites.

A typical evening goes from Jerry Lee Lewis to Michael Buble to Floyd Cramer, Bobby Darin, Barry Manilow, Liberace, Big Band, Country and Western, Dean Martin, Broadway, Fats Domino, Disco, Rock and Roll, Doo-Wop and more. And if you are lucky, you'll be there on a night when he plays music from Phantom of The Opera or a classical piece.

Michael Libonati, Entertainment Director of South Point Hotel Casino and Spa is enthusiastic in his praise of Winters. “We love having Wes Winters and are so proud to celebrate his fifth year anniversary. We look forward to his entertaining for years to come”. In addition, Winters performs Tuesday evenings at the Rampart Casino’s Addison’s Lounge in Summerlin. (See Wes Winters for show times)

Wes Winters has performed professionally for over 28 years. He relocated to Las Vegas in 2003 from his hometown of Kansas City. After entering and winning the Liberace Play-A-Like Contest that same year, Wes conceived, wrote, produced and starred in “A Musical Tribute to Liberace” and created the “Wes Winters Showroom” at the Liberace Museum.

Honored with several awards, the show ran nearly five years, followed by a limited engagement on the Las Vegas Strip at Planet Hollywood. Winters also brought back weekly nightclub performances at Liberace’s Tivoli Gardens Piano Lounge after many years of being dark. Performing his signature one-man nightclub act, “Wes Winters Live”, he played to sold-out audiences five years running.

Winters owns 88 Key Productions, a full service audio and video recording studio, seven solo recordings: Las Vegas Saturday Night (’09), Piano Favorites (’05), Wes Winters Live (’05). Send Down an Angel (’01) is comprised of music and lyrics which are all original works by Wes that reflect events in his personal life. Other recordings include Wes Winters Christmas, Light the Lights and Curtain Up.

Winters' busy schedule includes numerous concert tour dates and private, corporate and convention performances not only in Las Vegas but throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and South America.

Beyond the professional expertise on the piano and bringing his own spin to the songs he sings and the tunes he plays, Wes Winters is a fan favorite with a unique flair, a charming personality, and a love of what he does that shines through in every performance. Go see Wes Winters on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6-9 pm in the Grandview Lounge at the South Point Hotel Casino and Spa in Las Vegas. For more information, visit Wes Winters.
