Mac King Comedy Magic Show at Harrah's Review – Mac King Comedy Magic is perfect for all ages

The Mac King Comedy Magic Show at Harrah's is perfect for kids and adults alike. Mac is funny and he is a first class magician. He looks like the smart nerd we knew in high school. His suit is plaid - obviously no fashion sense. His demeanor is low key, not the strong commanding stage presence you expect in Vegas. The thing is-- he is funny and fun.

Mac King does magic. He doesn't make an elephant disappear or an airplane appear on stage. He does work with a bear, actually a person in a bear suit. And he has an earthworm named Billy who he seemingly drops into his mouth. Then there's the goldfish. Looks like he swallows it, but we know he wouldn't do that - would he?

A magician who works with an earthworm and a goldfish. The kids love him. This show is perfect for the kids – and the kid in all of us. He's no Chris Angel. He'll tell you that. He's a guy who weaves a fig newton into his act as a recurring prop. And makes his head disappear in a brown paper bag. Not to worry, the head returns to finish the act

King recently celebrated the 13th anniversary of his afternoon show at Harrah's in Las Vegas. He's a magician, he's a comic, he's a nerdy looking guy in a plaid suit. And the audience loves him. He is family friendly at it's finest.

His sleight of hand is impressive. Mac's Cloak of Invisibility is a standard prop in his act and always a favorite. Silly, juvenile, and funny. Mac makes it all look so simple that it is easy to forget how much talent he has. He is a magician who has honed his craft. His quick wit, endearing personality, and unique ability to connect with the audience are all parts of his charm. His humor is clever and gentle.

Some of the tricks are standard Vegas illusions, but he brands them with his down home charm. He brings kids on stage and works well with the unpredictability they bring with them.

Mac throws a few curves that are meant for the adults to catch and fly right over the heads of the kids. During the course of his 13 years, Mac has used more than 20,280 feet of rope in his famous rope trick, 351,520 playing cards, 20,280 magically appearing fig newton pastries, and 33,800 audience volunteers.

Mac King gives back to the community through his support of programs which promote literacy, visiting elementary schools to spread the importance of literacy to valley students.

King has received many honors during his career including being named “Best Strip Headliner” in the Las Vegas Weekly Best Awards, Las Vegas Review Journal's “Best of Las Vegas' readers' poll and being named “Best Bargain Show” for nine straight years.

He was honored as Magic Magazine’s “Funniest Act in Magic,” the World Magic Awards’ “Best Comedy Magician” and the Magic Castle’s “Magician of the Year.”

Mac King, one of today’s most talented magicians, takes the stage twice daily, Tuesday through Saturday, at Harrah’s Las Vegas at 1 and 3 p.m. in the Showroom Theatre. General admission is $29.95 plus tax. A VIP ticket is available for $39.95 plus tax and includes a VIP line pass, preferred seating and an autographed photo.
