Ties are no longer just a must have fashion piece for individuals. Thanks to a certain dynamic duo, these fashion pieces are taking on a whole new meaning.
A longstanding advocate for marriage equality, Jessie Tyler Ferguson (known as Mitchell Pritchett’ on the Emmy Award-winning ABC comedy Modern Family) co-founded Tie The Knot in 2012 with his husband, Justin Mikita. Tie The Knot was founded to benefit organizations that support marriage equality. The symbol of Tie The Knot is an owl. Not only because it is a ‘cute’ symbol’ but it also symbolizes foresight, perspective and patience, which is something people fighting for marriage equality must possess. For every tie, bowtie, or piece bought you are helping support those causes and further showing your support.
Recently Tie The Knot opened in the Beverly Center. Many of our favorites from Modern Family, as well as others were in attendance to show their support for their fellow cast mate and friend and to support a great cause. Attendees were also invited to attend an intimate gathering alongside the store front to enjoy cocktails by Kettle One and indulge in decadent small bites from Capital Grille. Guests for the evening included: Sarah Hyland, Ty Burrell, Lance Bass, Kathy Griffin, Sofia Vergara and many more.
“So come on, suit up, and Tie The Knot—so that someday, we can too,” is a strong message that Tie The Knot lives by. Next time you’re in the Beverly Center do yourself a favor and grab an item from Tie The Knot. Not only will you be remaining fashionable but you're also supporting a good cause.
