Get wrapped up in its stunning beauty, become one with its one of a kind safari exploration, and become mesmerized by the strong culture and traditions of South Africa. Here at the Ubuntu Expo Trade Show, key members of the press and travel agents were able to dig deep and indulge in paradise. With the outrageous numbers of wildlife you are able to emerge yourself upon, the extensive views and the culture why would anyone want to leave? South Africa is truly a place of natural beauty.

Thursday, August 11th, the Ubuntu Expo Trade Show was held at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills. The rooftop of the Montage Hotel transformed into an exotic showcase that was designed to brief its attendees on how to make the most out of traveling to South Africa. The rooftop was filled with vendors wanting to share insider information as to why South Africa is the place to visit, and also discuss insider deals. The travel show was a four stop shop with stops in Miami, Atlanta, New York City, and Los Angeles. African Pride, Lion World Tours, More Hotels, One & Only Cape Town, ProTea Hotels, Sabi Sabi, Saxon, Singita Game Reserves, Tai and Ulusaba were some of the hotels on site that were highlighting their beautiful properties. While Lions Tours, Virgin Atlantic, MLT Tours and South Africa Airways dealt with package deals and arriving in South Africa

One & Only Cape Town is based in the heart of the famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and offers world-class dining, expansive spa, and lavish rooms. The Table Bay Hotel is a waterfront hotel nestled right amongst the Atlantic Ocean that offers breathtaking scenery with Victoria & Alfred Waterfront’s restaurants, bars, and clubs. Singita Game Reserves offers lodges and camps where visitors can experience luxury and elegance on their premier properties and also experience South Africa’s wildlife up close. The Palace is said to be a ‘Legend Made Real’. Here at The Palace guests will be indulged in the history of South Africa. Each suite offers 5-star service and spectacular views over water or the jungle. Taj Palace is crafted with a blend of Moroccan, Indian, and Asian decor. The 161 guest rooms and suites enjoy views of the Atlas Mountains, the Palmeraie desert landscape or the calming pool and gardens.

Shambala Game Reserve is a unique place to stay. It sits upon acres upon acres of natural landscape in South Africa’s Limpopo Province. African Pride Hotels, Taj Cape Town, and ProTea Hotels were showcasing its many properties, some were tucked away bungalows, some were on private game reserves, while others were luxurious lodges, and superior deluxe hotels.. Each property highlighted something different from the one before. Ulusaba is a private game reserve that gives its guests the opportunity to stay at the Rock Lodge or the Safari Lodge. The Rock Lodge is perched high in the summit, this is where you will find spectacular views over miles and set against the backdrop of the Drakensberg Mountains. The Safari Lodge is built along the banks of the Mabrak riverbed. With the Safari Lodge, you are placed in the heart of the wildlife.

South African Airways &Lion World Tours offered all inclusive packaged deals for South Africa. MLT Vacations & Virgin Atlantic showcased various fight options with their various partners in order for guests to get the most out of their trip to South Africa.

Throughout this spectacular event, I was given the opportunity to interview the president of South Africa Tours, Sthy Zungu. We discussed the Ubuntu Expo Tour and she even let me in on some of the top reasons to visit South Africa and some of the top places to visit.

“South Africa is a beautiful destination worth discovering for many travelers,” says Sthy Zungu, “it’s a explosion of creativity”. We then discussed in detail, ‘The Big 5’, which is a coined term from hunters. ‘The Big 5’, comes from five of the hardest animals to hunt, which are: lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo, and the leopard. Alongside of the safari’s and natural beauty of South Africa, we then discussed the ‘Joy of Jazz’ festival as well as

the South Africa Fashion Week. For updated travel deals Zungu suggested to check out www.southafrica.net/deals.

So come out and pamper yourself with some of earth’s natural beauty, extensive culture and private game reserves. Experience South Africa for yourself. For more information on South Africa please visit www.southafrica.net
