Los Angeles, CA – November 7, 2013
Quiet please…we have speed…ACTION! The Filmmaker Summit will take place on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2013 in Santa Monica and will provide step-by-step
instruction for filmmakers who want to take action and make a movie.
The full day filmmaking seminar will be broken into three modules. TOM MALLOY, the acclaimed author of the book, BANKROLL will show filmmakers how he was able to raise over 25 million to make his movies.
Veteran independent film producer, AIMEE SCHOOF, will reveal her closely guarded tips on how she produced over 30 films, while distribution expert JASON BRUBAKER will show filmmakers how to market and sell their movie.
“This filmmaker summit is focused on cutting out hype and actually helping filmmakers make, market and sell movies more easily,” Brubaker said today at the American Film Market. “The ways movies make it to market has changed. You don’t have to live in Hollywood. You don’t have to go to film school. Just learn from people who are doing what you want to accomplish.”
The Filmmaker Summit will focus the three key areas of filmmaking, including film finance, film production and film distribution. “If you want to make movies, it’s important to realize the world of filmmaking has changed. Getting up to date information is essential for success,” he emphasizes.
The Filmmaker Summit starts at 9AM sharp on Friday morning, November 8, 2013 at Magicopolis in Santa Monica. Magicopolis is located at 1418 Fourth Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401
