Created by Digital LA, Silicon Beach featured startup and Hollywood entertainment speakers at panels, parties, hackathon, demo day, and startup showcases.
Splash Magazines had a few questions for the 2013 host of Silicon Beach Fest, Ron McElroy, CEO of ROC.
Splash Magazines: How have the past few days of Silicon Beach Fest been for you and ROC?
Ron McElroy: Really good. The main focus of why we had Silicon Beach Fest was to make people aware of ROC. ROC is a platform for start up companies or young companies that want to learn and understand:
-How to attract funding:
-ROC employs many venture capitalist in which the client have access
-The ROC educators come from USC, UCLA and Pepperdine
-Educators organize events
-ROC allows a number of companies to exist and grow in 45,000 square feet with like-minded visionaries to exchange ideas, collaborate, and to create a business action-plan.
SM: What seminars are taking place at ROC and Silicon Beach Fest?
RM: They range any where from how-to-start-ups to tech panels. They're panelists from companies such as YouTube, Google, General Assembly, and much more. Everything that you could possibly want to hear about business, high tech, and new products is here at Silicon Beach Fest.
