Music plays a huge part in society. Across the globe music lovers gather around and travel immensely to various countries to see live music. Music in general speaks volumes to people and serve as that inner voice that is released through melodic tunes.
Record Store Day originated in 2007 to ‘celebrate the art of music,’ every third Saturday of April. As a proud sponsor and partner of Record Store Day 2013, Clarks Originals presents a limited edition line of unique and inspired Desert Boots that honor the history of vinyl records and Clarks’ longstanding collaborative relationships with the music industry.
To kick off the exclusive vinyl-inspired collection and ring in the 6th annual Record Store Day 2013, Fingerprints - an independent record company - hosted live performances by LA’s surf pop outfit, Best Coast, along with alternative/indie heavyweights Jimmy Eat World, multiple-Grammy-winning guitarist Laurence Juber (formerly of Wings), and San Pedro’s own bass-playing punk rock ‘n’ roll hero Mike Watt!
In case you missed it, check out an exclusive preview of the Best Coast track - Fear of my identity, recorded for Clarks Originals and Record Store Day 2013.
Continuing to authenticate their strong connection with the music industry by supporting the Global phenomenon-Record Store Day- Clark Originals presented Best Coast for RSD ’13 alongside a collection of must-have vinyl inspired Desert Boots for the Spring/Summer season.
