The Night of 100 Stars Awards Party upheld their reputation as having the most stars and the most beautiful women in attendance. Some of the many celebs attending included Billy Zane, Natasha Henstridge, Maria Conchita Alonso, Lou Diamond Phillips, Ed Asner, and a slew of former Oscar Nominees and Winners, including Martin Landau, Theo Bikel with his new young bride; Ann Hecht, and my favorite Oscar Nominated couple, Renee Taylor & Joe Bologna (Lovers & Other Strangers). They were busy being interviewed by over 300 outlets from the U.S., and 50 international news outlets from around the world. Edward Lozzi, PR Director and Media Coordinator, did a smashing job as usual.
Veteran music agent, Norby Walters was again the genial host of the Party of the Year, in the Beverly Hills Hotel Crystal Ballroom; and was joined by handsome Billionaire clothing designer Peter Nygard, who arrived with his bountiful bevy of beauties. Others sipping cocktails inspired by best picture nominees, including Captain Philips “Pirates Punch” and Dallas Buyers Club, “Texas Two Step” (Budweiser with a shot of Tequila), included Harry Hamlin, Alan Thicke, Frankie Valli, Lou Ferrigno and the still gorgeous Stephanie Powers.
Everyone cheered when 12 Years a Slave won the Academy Award as Best Picture of the Year. Particularly John Voight (an Academy Award winner [Coming Home] & Father of Angelina Jolie). His soon to be son-in-law, Brad Pitt won his first Oscar as Co-Producer of this extraordinary film…making them a triple-win Oscar family. Remember, Angelina also won an Oscar for her performance in Girl Interrupted in 1999. But the best win of all is that these extraordinary actors & individuals are sharing their enormous talents, verve, and philanthropic efforts with the world.
