Brave Chick Presents Le Fashion Truck with the B.E.A.M Award

August 10th, Brave Chick’s founders Lejoi Reese-Kinsey and Janet Williams were styling and inspiring at their Beauty Brunch held at the metallurgists Loft at Liz’s (453 S. La Brea Avenue) from 12 to 4pm.

Guests of the Brave Chick beauty Brunch were treated to some pampering, a variety of sweet treats from Porto’s Bakery, gourmet sandwiches from Mix n’ Munch, and mimosas and crafted mojitos to sip on. The afternoon was hosted by Brave Chick and Wiles Magazine, and the intimate event honored the founders of Le Fashion Truck with the first ever B.E.A.M. Award at the artsy Loft at Liz's

Brave Chick held its beauty Brunch showcasing their pop up shop of inspiring and empowering T-shirts and tank tops. They also had jewelry by Origami Owl on display, taking specialty orders. Le Fashion Truck’s Stacey Steffe and Jeanine Romo were in attendance to receive the first B.E.A.M award from Brave Chick, which stands for Bravery Empowers and Motivates. Sales from the Pop up shop were to be donated to the Not for Sale Charity, which strives to end Human Trafficking.

Brave Chick known as a fashion forward brand and women’s empowering movement, wants to promote social awareness and support for women. Brave Chick’s founders Janet and LeJoi encouraged guests to post to social media to get the word out about the movement and help encourage women to show support for others as well as empowerment within themselves.

During the event, Brave Chick presented Stacey Steffe and Jeanine Romo with the first B.E.A.M (Bravery Empowers and Motivates) award for exemplifying exceptional values and for being unique businesswomen that have defied their circumstances, pushed through the glass ceiling, and turned their dreams into reality. Le Fashion Truck is a mobile boutique - a store on wheels. Setting up shop in various locations throughout Los Angeles since 2011, Le Fashion Truck features clothing and accessories by emerging designers, including a dressing room, catering to the woman on the go. Customers can shop handmade jewelry, handbags, accessories and more aboard the pink truck.

Brave Chick also introduced attendees to their “Be Brave” campaign and partnership with non-profit organization Not For Sale. Not for Sale's mission is to create a world where no one is for sale. More information or the organization and getting involved can be found at
