The Original Long Beach Lobster Festival has become a tradition to over thousands of festival goers annually. It’s the largest Lobster Festival outside of Maine, right here in Southern California. This year the Festival was held from September 11 -13th, in Long Beach at the beautiful Rainbow Lagoon.

Every day they flew in tons of Fresh Live Maine Lobsters which were steamed onsite in the World’s Largest Cooker prepared and served by Bristol Farms Master Chef Bruce Jacobs. A dinner plate featured an entire lobster with lemon and drawn butter, coleslaw, a dinner roll and watermelon.

There were folks from all over Southern California who came out for some fun, food and friends both new and old. In honor of our armed forces, all United States active military personnel received free General Admission to

As if eating mouthwatering crustaceans wasn’t enough fun they had live entertainment, dancing and activities for all ages. Including a live sports tent where you could watch your favorite sporting event on the TV Wall (4 Flat Screens).

There were arts and crafts booths, a children’s play area and a booth where free souvenir pictures were taken.
Fun for the young and the young at heart
If you still felt hungry after downing an entire lobster dinner there was plenty of yummy food choices available like Ribs, Chicken, Jamaican, Chinese, Thai and other international foods and desserts, adult beverages: Beer, Wine, Liquor drinks — “Screaming Lobster“ and Margaritas, and of course, LOBSTER.
