For the past 21 years, Norby Walters, a legendary super-agent, produced his annual “ Night of 100 Stars”, Oscar viewing party at the fabled Beverly Hills Hotel. For 2011, the elaborate affair was sponsored by Richard Mille, which is one of the youngest luxury watch brands. Beautiful young girls dressed in full length black leotards, adorned in stunning Richard Mille watches were posing together at the cocktail party, as guests viewed the watches on their gloved wrists.
Grand, shiny black limousines paraded up the long entry drive of the elegant, world renowned Beverly Hills Hotel. Gorgeous gowns, picture perfect teeth, tanned skin and winning smiles emerged from their carriages and headed for the Red Carpet as eager paparazzi, on-air hosts and videographers from every news outlet around the world anxiously awaited the arrival of the “beautiful people.” Constant flashbulbs followed their every movement and microphones reached out to the A-listers as hosts asked who they thought would be taking home the gold statuettes, and to update the world on their own latest projects.
Almost 200 stars attended the, "Night of 100 Stars Black TieDinner Gala". As it has in the past, the guest list included past Oscar winners, Oscar nominees, famed stars, musicians, and notables in many fields. Stars and their guests were bedecked in gowns and jewels from a plethora of world renowned or soon to be famous, couture designers and jewelers.
Stars were seated at practically every table around the room.
Large screens were mounted around the ballroom so that every seat around the majestic room allowed the Oscars to be easily viewed, and speeches to be heard.
The media has always rated this event as one of the top 3 parties in the world. The Daily News has rated this party as "the number 1 Awards party just for the sheer number of celebrities attending.”
The room often erupted in thunderous applause as winners were announced. This awards’ party is the first to ever stream a live show worldwide, starting 6 years ago. This year the live streaming show was produced by Beverly Hills Courier TV, a new division of the weekly and daily on-line award winning newspaper that has spanned two centuries of excellent journalism for the most famous city in America.
