Lifetime Movie Network presented "Little Girl Lost"

Lifetime Movie Network presented the world premiere screening of “Little Girl Lost: The Delimar Vera Story, starring Judy Reyes, Marlene Forte, and Hector Bustamante, at the Directors Guild Theater Complex, on Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles.

In “Little Girl Lost”, Judy Reyes portrays Luz Cuevas, a working class mother who is told that her infant daughter, Delimar, has perished in a suspicious fire in their Philadelphia row home. Despite the evidence, and based only on her intuition as a mother, Luz remains convinced that her daughter was kidnapped and that she’s still alive. Luz and her husband Bustamante attempt to put the tragedy behind them for sake of their 2 little boys, causing tension in their marriage. However Luz continues to suspect her distant cousin Ortiz of foul play and enlists the help of Angel Cruz, Martinez, a sympathetic State Representative.

Based on a true story, “Little Girl Lost”, will premiere on Sunday, August 17, 8pm ET/9pm/PT, on Lifetime Movie Network.

The Directors Guild was outfitted with a full bar (3 lines to accommodate guests), 2 food stations-one with shrimp and Latin cuisine and the other with gourmet finger foods. Friendly servers walked around offering guests delicious o’heurves. Lifetime provided a very comfortable, fun, energized environment, for the occasion. Lifetime bussed in some of their guests around 6:30pm and the first of the ensemble cast to arrive on the red carpet, which was inside the Guild, was Marlene Forte (Real Women Have Curves, Star Trek).

Marlene plays Tatita in the film, and attended the event with her husband and her beautiful daughter.

Beth Payne (My Girlfriends Back), Shalim Ortiz (Heroes) and his wife, Delimar Vera, Luz Cuevas, Delimar’s 2 brothers, and Ana Ortiz (Ugly Beatty) could not attend for she was shooting in New York.
After the reception, guests and cast were escorted into the theater for the screening.As the cast was introduced on the big screen, the audience showed appreciation with applause and cheering. As the film progressed you could hear the sentiments felt by the audience and could hear the faintness of sniffles and could see in the dark people whipping their eyes, (even the men were crying).
After the screening, Reyes was asked to take the stage and talk about her majestic performance and comment on being chosen for the starring role. She told the audience that she could not turn down such a “Gift” of a movie and the cast made her work and job much more enjoyable. She was impressed with Luz and to portray her on the big screen was an honor.
Executives from Lifetime then thank us for all attending and showed their appreciation with lovely gift bags filled with yummy popcorn treats and a purple bowl to place them in. The evening was definitely a treat for all of those that attended.
In order to help keep other children safe, Lifetime Movie Network is partnering with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. A public service announcement with stars of the movie, as well as online content on, will provide families with helpful tips, a hotline number and other important resources.
