Gifting, and Giving Back Review - Hosted By Glenn Deneve By Adriana Davalos Sunday December 14, 2008 – Glenn Deneve of the Cristophe Salon hosted an evening of Glamour, Gifting, and Giving Back to help raise money and awareness for the Children of the Night Foundation.
Glenn Deneve has worked with at the Cristophe Salon for over 12 years and has been in the fashion and beauty industry for over 20 years. Deneve brings a unique blend of modern and sexy into his signature feminine hairstyles. Having worked with many renowned stylists in Europe, he has perfected the art of cut and color.
The Children of the Night Foundation is a private, non-profit, tax-exempt organization founded in 1979. The organization is dedicated to aid children between the ages of 11 and 17 who are forced into prostitution on the streets in order to have food and a place to sleep.
Children of the Night accommodate help with a 24-hour hotline 7 days a week. The hotline is operated around the clock by a trained staff that is knowledgeable about street life and capable of enlisting the support of police throughout the country if a child’s life is in danger. The organization is home is open to child prostitutes throughout the United States, and the Children of the Night staff is specially trained to rescue these children directly from pimps anywhere in the country, any time of the day or night.
The event was held at the stylish Cristophe Salon located in Beverly Hills. Delicious horsd’oevres and sweet treats were served throughout the evening. A real favorite was the Wishing Tree made out of Vanilla Bake Shop Cupcakes—each cupcake had an amount for donation to the foundation.
Live entertainment was provided by DJ Marc Allan alongside the Karma Cappuccino coffee bar where guests lined up to get cappuccino on! The guest couldn’t get enough of Greenleaf Gourmet Chop Shop’s cookies and nuts. The Girls in the Vineyard wine was the perfect addition to the sweets!
Guests were pampered with manicures and pedicures provided by OPI Nails and were able to enjoy make-up application from Paulette and Bare Essentials Make-Up. Guests were also spoiled with chair massages, energy healers, and tarot card readers that were able to tell their life stories.
Square Root Designs decorated the salon gorgeously—the bright flowers highlighted the salon bringing the perfect touch its modern style.
The night of Glamour, Gifting, and Giving Back was a successful evening of fundraising, awareness, and giving back. The Children of the Night Foundation is a great organization to cater to too, Glenn Deneve hosted an amazing night for those who supported the cause.
