I wanted to end 2009 with a bang. I did my research and found out what big events where taking place in Los Angeles for New Years Eve.
Giant Maximus 2010
I asked around and heard endless reviews from friends that the place to be was
Giant Maximus New Years Eve (NYE) 2010. It was the best New Years Eve Party I have ever been to in my life!
The aerialist were amazing!
Taking over the entire site of downtown LA’s
Westin Bonaventure Hotel, with a 5,000 crowd turnout,
Giant Maximus 2010 celebrated the biggest and the best 21 and over NYE in town.
LA’s top promotion team
Giant created a spectacular ending to 2009 and the most memorable beginning to 2010 with an amazing DJ line up and a circus themed event to bring you one hell of a party.
Girlfriends at Giant Maximus 2010 with the circus folks
The NYE began at 8 p.m and the night consisted of acrobats, aerialist, and assorted “Stilt Circus” folks. The California Ballroom, the main room, had a lot of great action with the circus peeps!
5,000 people showed up for Giant Maximus 2010
The lighting of the party in the California Ballroom was unbelievable--strobes of green, purple, blue, pink struck the room perfectly and in sync with the music. The entire stage had the colorful lights surrounding it making the night feel electric and powerful. Guests surrounded the performances taking pictures and speculated in great awe.
What really made
Giant Maximus NYE incredible was the DJ line up!
Above & Beyond (#4 DJs in the World for the past two years),
Christopher Lawrence (#1DJ in America),
Cosmic Gate (#19 in the World),
Miguel Migs (Salted House Sensation),
Marques Wyatt (Deep Founder and House Legend),
Kristina Sky,
Boris M.D.,
Ryan Sage,
Mark Tabberner,
Coolwhip and
Serafin.
The lasers were awesome!
Spinning in The California Ballroom were two of the greatest DJs—
Above & Beyond and
Cosmic Gate. Both were magical and had the crowd energized and dancing all night long.
Great stage!
In the Catalina "
ALL ACCESS" Room,
DJ Serafin was jamming all night--he’s my favorite local DJ in LA! He mashes up the greatest mixes.
I was able to go back and forth to see my favorite DJ’s and also be able to enjoy a private bar and lounge in the Catalina Room. I was one of the lucky ones to have had access to the private bars and didn’t have to wait in line for drinks. Awesome!
DJ Serafin
Lucky me, I had the opportunity to speak with
DJ Serafin and get his thoughts on the night.
Adriana Davalos: Was it a smooth process being hired by Giant?
DJ Serafin: Yes. The promoters I worked with were very professional and great to work with.
AD: Would you say
Giant Maximus NYE2010 was a success?
DJ Serafin: Yes 100%. The event space was huge and the entire place was packed. People were partying hard, stayed until the end, and when the lights came on wouldn't leave, which is the sign of a successful party.
AD: What kind of style of music did you play for your NYE crowd?
DJ Serafin: I played an Open Style format - I can play anything from hip hop and rock to house and everything in between...I played what made the crowd happy to keep them partying all night.
AD: Is there anything else you'd like to say about
Giant Maximus NYE2010?
DJ Serafin: I would like to say thank you to
Giant, the crew and the other DJs of the
Giant event. They made this NYE one of the most memorable ones for me.Thanks to my management team
The Rebel Base MGMT Xen Lang & Brandon Koppel. Southeast Music's Lee Resnick.
She was very talented!
By far,
Giant Maximus NYE 2010 was the best NYE celebration I have ever been to LA.
Giant Promotions lives up to their name and goes “Giant” for their events. An amazing DJ line up, perfect party theme, great venue, and one celebration to remember for a life time. Fabulous job
Giant! I had so much fun, took a million pictures, met so many cool people, and danced to the best house music in LA. I will remember the
