When I pulled up to the valet of the Famous Cupcake Beverly Hills location, I knew that the night would be charged with just as much energy as the swelling crowd of media, guest, and onlookers were exuding while clamoring for a spot of the corner of South Beverly Drive. Yes, this night was going to be sweet in every sense of the word.  TLK Fusion Entertainment, in association with The Prestige Group Public Relations, coordinated the official launch of the new store location for Famous Cupcakes and they were on hand trying to keep the crowd under control.  Try was the operative word because it took about 45 minutes for me to gain access to a media spot within the venue for interview opportunities with the famous hosts of the night, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and their mother Kris Jenner.

The Kardashian clan, most noted for their hit television series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami on E! channel have been huge fans of the sugary confections for some time now. Khloe even had many of the decadent flavors delivered to  her recent wedding where she made waves in news headlines for marrying NBA star Lamar Odom after a month of whirlwind dating.  I’m sure that the cupcakes will also be a highlight of the upcoming baby shower for sister Kourtney, as she is due to have her first baby later this Fall.

Arriving to the venue in a horse and buggy, the Kardashians were greeted by the petite owner of Famous Cupcakes who states that her love of baking is what keeps her going. “I started baking at the age of six and have worked to tailor my recipes for cupcakes over the years,” states the owner. “It brings me joy to know that people love eating my cupcakes just as much as I love creating them.”  Famous Cupcakes boasts a variety of thirteen delectable flavors that range from Hot Chocolate to Coconut.  One of the favorites is Velvet which is what I found myself gorging on for most of the night. The moist red velvet cake was topped with a dreamy cream cheese frosting and topped with chocolate sprinkles. After one bite, you are sure to question whether or not you were still on planted on Earth.  To top off tantalizing your taste buds, a cupcake from Famous Cupcakes appeals to those that are natural and organic.  Each cupcake is made with the finest all-natural and organic ingredients and is certified as being Kosher! How about that?!?! I can have my cake and eat it too! Well, you still want to make sure that you enjoy in moderation as Kim Kardashian does.  After all, we all still want to “fit in our jeans by Friday” as Kim K. exclaims in her book titled Fit In Your Jeans by Friday.

Cupcakes and Kardashians weren’t the only thrill of the night. Performances by the Hollywood Pin Up Girls, Celebrity impersonators, aerial acts, and stilt walkers entertained the crowd which included Lala Vazquez and her adorable son, Kiyan, Lorenzo Lamas and his daughters who will be starring in their own E! reality show titled Living Lamas, and singer/songwriter Matchsticks.  For the kiddies who were at the event, they were mesmorized by all the attractions and the cotton candy machine.  I’m sure that all the parents were thrilled once they got their sugar-charged kids home and tried to put them to bed!

Famous Cupcakes Beverly Hills, located at 168 South Beverly Drive, will host its grand opening to the public on Monday, October 12th. The doors will open at 9:00 a.m. PST and the Mayor of Beverly Hills will conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1:30 p.m. If you are in the area, stop by to join the festivities which will include free cupcake give-aways!
