Beginning today videophiles across the country, looking for that dream date will be able to compete for the chance to win a week long date in Paris, France.

Americas Dream Date: the first Interactive Reality™ dating show is a totally immersive and highly interactive game-like experience where people upload videos to 'join the cast' of the show.   The show itself is an eight week suspense filled competition to gather votes from the online community, avoid eliminations and ultimately be crowned as Americas Dream Date and win a luxurious dream date vacation in Paris France, with the runners up winning dream date weekend trips to Las Vegas.

The Open Casting Call kicks off on the 4th of July, when people across the country are able to register and upload their videos by going to GoFish.com

1. Join the show by uploading videos, popular themes for the videos would be 'tell us why you are such a Dream Date', 'What makes you such a great catch', 'worst or best first date experience' , 'best pick-up lines' , 'testimonials from your friends' , etc
2. The community votes on people's videos and votes establish your rank in the overall competition
3. After 6 weeks there is an elimination  - taking the pool of participants down to only 10 guys and 10 girls
4. For the two remaining weeks, the GoFish community plays matchmaker and decides determines the grand prize winning dream date couple and all runners-up
5. twice per week GoFish serves up a 'weekly update' hosted by Maggie Vandenberhge, who walks everybody through 'this week on Dream Date' , items such as top voted videos this week, the wildest submission this week, up and comers, etc.

Along with the extreme successes of other reality and community involved shows, GoFish.com has brought to the U.S. the next level of interactive reality shows.  In addition to the fact that they will be affording one lucky couple a dream date in Paris, the team at GoFish is also promoting the positive use of a combination of both on and offline communities.  This show offers a platform for today's youth to not only create and perfect, but post and promote their home made videos.

As for the game show itself, I think that it has the potential to do a number of things that could make for some great entertainment.  I personally would think it would be funny for a 45 year old biker to get matched up with a 22 year old college English major.  Then again, it would be nice to see this show work its magic and pair up a cool, intriguing couple that would have never met otherwise.
