The Animal Rights National Conference is the largest and longest running animal rights gathering.
This conference is organized each year by the Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM),a national nonprofit organization working to end the use of animals for food through public education and grassroots activism. They believe in the inherent self-worth of animals, as well as environmental protection and enhanced public health. FARM operates from our nation's capital through a network of volunteer activists in all 50 states and two dozen other countries.
This year's conference was co-sponsored by seventeen organizations including A Well Fed World, Compassion Circle, In Defense of Animals, and others.
Whether you are a veteran activist or a curious newcomer to the animal rights movement, the AR2011 had plenty to offer, from networking to, workshops, exhibitions, and even movies.
