These young and extremely talented individuals come together from across the world and all levels of acrobatic experience to work for this common artistic goal. New Hampshire native Mason Ames joins 7 Fingers from training at The National Circus School. Ames participated with the company in the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games and was also seen in Cirque du Soleil’s Viva Elvis. Montreal’s own Valerie Benoit-Charbonneau has also trained at The National Circus School, participated in the Vancouver 2010 Games and was in Viva Elvis, as well as a Koren production of Crique Eloize’s iD. Quebec’s Mathieu Cloutier joins the company after three years at Circus School of Quebec. His previous credits include Crique du Soleil and Les grands Operas de Quebec. Bradley Henderson is one of 7 Fingers first original members. He started circus in his hometown of San Francisco, California and moved to Montreal to attend The National Circus School until his graduation. Phillipe Normand-Jenny, also from Montreal trained at The Circus School of Quebec as well, and has since participated in more than 275 performances, including Cirque du Soleil and Les grands Operas de Quebec. Xia Zhengqi comes to 7 Fingers from Anshan, China. He started work with the Shenyang Acrobatic Troupe and was a 4th Medal Winner at the fourth National Acrobatic Competition in China, Finally, Switzerland native Florian Zumkehr began his training at circus school as a child and continued into his adult years at The Berlin Circus School.
These seven performers work under the direction and choreography of 7 Fingers founder Shana Carroll. Carroll is a seasoned trapeze artist, starting her career in California at the age of 18 and going on to The Circus School of Montreal. From there she went went on to perform of hundreds of big name productions including Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Eloize and the IMAX movie, Journey of Man.
At Traces, you will witness everything from skateboard tricks, to a spontaneous guitar jam session, accompanied by more flips, tricks and jumps than you could ask for! The feats of these performers will leave you breathless and begging for more!
